I’m lucky enough to live in beautiful Perth, Western Australia with my husband and two gorgeous boys. My career has spanned a variety of jobs, ranging from jillaroo to lab technician to finance and administration. But writing has always been my one great passion. My earliest childhood memory is of sitting in a snug, out-of-the-way corner, an apple in one hand and a book in the other. I had a voracious appetite (for both apples and reading any book I could get my hands on) and still do to this very day.

I wrote my first book when I was six and a half, about a little red fish who ran away from home (yes, it’s an early version of NEMO) and have been writing ever since, filling pages with the lives of the characters who’ve inhabited my head. I’ve always had a fascination with the tough resilience shown by the people of this harsh but beautiful land, echoed in the amazing landscape that is the red-earth outback of Australia, and this prompted me to write my first novel, an adventure romance called Shadows in the Dust.
